This animation demonstrates a conceptual system for measuring river bed erosion at the base of bridge piers and foundations.

The sunmersible pod is mounted on an arm to allow it to be operated as a stable platform in high currents. The system provides video and scan data to allow authorities to asses damage during flood conditions.
